Museum of Jewish Heritage

The Museum of Jewish Heritage is known as a living memorial to the holocaust. Located in Battery Park City, opposite the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, the distinctive six-sided museum is a vital part of lower Manhattan. New York City's newest museum is organized into three broad sections: "Jewish Life a Century Ago", "The War Against the Jews", and "Jewish Renewal". The museum uses personal stories and artifacts to present 20th Century Jewish history and the Holocaust in a context of universal truths that speak to people of  all ages and backgrounds.
