This year, WINTER put up a fight. It brought low temperatures, strong winds, and hale. But the Poles are tough. We didn't get intimidated by the terrible weather. Full of energy, the PAC members gathered for the spring festivities. The children were equipped with colorful fans and bouquets of flowers. Matthew - the oldest of the kids - holding a poster, encouraged everyone to cheer together "WINTER, GO AWAY!" and "ZIMO, IDZ SOBIE!". We led Marzanna along winding paths through the forest, so that she wouldn't find her way back. We then threw the puppet off the bridge and drowned her in the river. Finally, we burned her.
Immediately, it got warmer, the sun came out, and flowers started to bloom. Welcome long awaited SPRING!
