POLOCROSSE IN NEW JERSEY!!

The 2006 Polocrosse Season is all wrapped up, but lots of stuff is already on the books for 2007!

Go to the all new Bucks County Polocrosse Website!

Check back for specifics on the dates of our third annual scrimmage series, clinics, and of course APA tournament!

A Polocrosse Challenge for all Pony Clubbers!

With players from NJ playing at tournaments in North Carolina, Scrimmages at Bucks County Horse Park, the Multi-region Pony Club Polocrosse Rally, Clinics with Texan Paul Johnson, and normal practices, this 2006 season was amazing!

The scrimmage series was a hit this year, with a growing turn out from last year. The Bucks County team did a lot of travelling this year, making multiple trips to North Carolinea (For the Orange Couty Tournament and Eastern Regionals), competiting in the Warwick (NY) and Bay Area (MD) tournaments. Bucks also supplied a C grade team at APA nationals in Hunt Texas, coming home a tough fought second place!

The second ever Bucks County APA tournament was held September 23-24th at the Bucks County Horse Park, and everyone had a great time showing their stuff, despite the rainy weather (we've had some bad luck with our tournament weather- lets hope for better weather in 2007!).

And now some pics from the first ever BCHP APA tournament

New as of 2005 and even better in 2006... Polocrosse at Bucks County Horse Park in Revere Pa

This year polocrosse really took off just over the river in Bucks County PA, and NJ players got lots of play with their friendly neighbors! Practices were held every Saturday morning on one of two fields, and LOTS of fun was always had. New players learned rules and skills at morning lessons and there was general scrimmages later in the day. The four scramblers were a huge success with over 20 people coming to some of the days. The scores have been tallied, and end of the year prizes are in the mail, but its not too early to start thinking about next years season.

The dates for 2006 scramblers are as follows:

May 13th

June 10th

July 15th

August 19th

Also the

2006 APA SANCTIONED TOURNAMENT

September 23rd and 24th.

Don't just wait for the sanctioned tournement though... points accumulated during the season at the scramblers could earn you cold hard cash by the end of the season... the system works as follows:

Players enter the scramblers as individuals, and are placed on teams according to their level of play. At the end of the day, players are awarded points depending how their team does. The individuals with the most points at the end of the series win! The prizes are as follows

1st place- $150

2nd place- $125

3rd place- $100

4th place- $75

5th place- $50
