I. Who we are.-

Pollos Vidaurri, S.A. de C.V., is a Mexican business based in Monterrey, Nuevo León, specializing in purchasing/sales, processing, and distribution of chicken and its products.

Our company’s main area of influence is the Northeast of Mexico. Our business focuses on institutional customers, self-service/convenience stores, wholesale, and retail.

II. History.-

With the help of his father and siblings, Don Jesús Vidaurri Lozano founded Pollos Vidaurri, S.A. de C.V. in 1945. The business began with typical door to door egg sales.

During the early 1960’s Don Jesús and his wife Doña Constanza Ritte enter new territories as far as the business was concerned. The following processes were added to the job: growing, processing, and selling chicken– using their backyard as an operational headquarters.

As the years went by, the business sustained steady growth that consolidated through the specialization of the purchasing/sales of chicken.

Pollos Vidaurri, S.A. de C.V. and a distribution center were formally created in 1981. The distribution center included refrigeration and freezing chambers, which was the necessary infrastructure for adequate storage and handling of meat products.

During the 1980s Pollos Vidaurri pioneered in the commercialization of chicken. Commercializing, to name an example, consisted of selling chicken in parts.

Envisioning the creation of value-added products, Pollos Vidaurri acquired and began to operate a complete line of fried, pre-cooked, and pre-formed (shaped) products in 1986. This visionary transformation made our business the first in Mexico to elaborate such products.

In 1990, Don Jesús Vidaurri and Doña Constanza, passed on the tradition of Pollos Vidaurri, S.A. de C.V. to their son Felipe Vidaurri Ritte.

In 1991, Pollos Vidaurri added the production of frozen products known as IQF (Individually Quick Frozen).

Since then, we have continuously invested in processing equipment used for the elaboration of a variety of products such as boneless, marinated, and among other products.

Our current base of operations was built in 1993. This new distribution center is highly equipped with specialized infrastructure for the storage and the distribution of our products. It also includes a processing plant, a sales area, and our administrative offices.

Since 1995, Pollos Vidaurri, S.A. de C.V. entered the retail market for raw products (fresh or frozen) as well as fully-cooked products, and established for this purpose strategic fast-food sales points.

III. Current Infraestructure.-

Pollos Vidaurri, S.A. de C.V. has a total surface area of 6,000 m2. The plant has six main divisions:

· Processing Plant (750 m2): elaboration of value-added products with a processing capacity of 800 tons; three lines for the elaboration of IQF frozen products; complete marinating equipment (massaged- based and by injection); one line to chicken de-boning; one line to automatically cut chicken; 1 line to elaborate fried and pre-cooked products; other machinery and equipment

· Cold Storage Chambers with a surface area of 1,200 m2 (5,400 m3) and a capacity to contain 1,300 tons.

· Sales Area (270 m2): we offer our processed products (fresh and frozen), as well as cooked products.

· Administrative Offices (220 m2)

· Parking lot for our clients (800 m2)

· Platform for loading/unloading merchandise

IV. Mission

We strive to be a profitable company and a flexible business, in order to adapt to continuous market changes. We highly value service and our commitment to clients, suppliers, and quality of our products. We are constantly seeking ways to sustain an optimal and a convenient network of inventory/supply and of distribution.
