These are computer cases. All of the computer hardwhere fits into this case, including the power supply, the motherboard, the hard drive, and many other things. Some of the cases have see-through sides (right)!! But all of the cases have the same general perpose: to hold the computer components. |

These are Floppy drives. They use spcecial disks (below) called Floppy disks. Floppy drives are not used much anymore, exept for DOS and MSDOS programs. Now'a days they are using CD drives wich hold more and can tranfer information faster. But even though they are out-dated they are still good to have. |

These are CD or Compact Disk drives. These are much faster, more efficient, and CD can hold more than Floppy disks ever could. Flopy disks can hold a maximum of maybe 1.4 megabytes and CD's can hold 700 megabytes!! BIG difference!! And now DVD's, Digital Video Device, can hold 9 gigabytes. Thats 9,000 megabytes!!! Now you know why Floppy disks aren't used anymore!! |

These are video cards. Your monotor connects in to this card, and this is what makes some of the games you play look so good. If you don't play games on your computer than this card will make little differnce. If any of you play DO games like HALO, HALF LIFE, DELTA FORCE, or maybe MECH WORRIOR 4 you will want a good video card, because if you don't your game screen will look like @#$%. So if you are a gamer you will want a good video card, if you are not , you could don't have to worry about it. |

These are monotors. This is what hooks into your video card, and this is what gives you your picture. Gamer or not you should always have a good monotor because these cist some $$$. When you first buy one buy a good one that wont give out on you soon. And always make sure it has a warentee on it. We had a monotor that would flicker and narrow to the center where you cauld hardly see anything. It was a PAIN in the BACKSIDE!!! So take my advece and buy a good monotor with a good warentee. And if it does have a problem you can always return it!! |
