The Polk Street Blues Band is recording
a new CD featuring Ronnie Heath, Dave Hanbury, Ed Johnson, Andy Hanburger, Dave
Ylvisaker and Big Shanty for a new album. The album will be recorded in August at
"Guitar" Dave Hanbury's "House Of Jam" studio in Wash. DC and
November at the "House of Blue Lights" in Marietta. A February 04 release is
anticipated.

We'd heard about the "Polk Street Blues Band" and decided to see
them play at the "House Of Blue Lights" a small juke joint off the square in
Marietta, Georgia.
Arriving at the
old 1890's house, we listened as the band began to unleash their original blues sound on
the standing room only gathering of the faithful.
The slide driven
vocals and throbing rhythm began to build a wall of blues voodoo that stunned the weak and
stirred the willing.
