| The Polk County First Responders are a non-profit all volunteer unit made up of North Carolina Certified at various levels of certification from EMT-Basic to EMT-Paramedic. The First Responders respond to all ambulance calls dispactched with-in Polk County. They are dually dispatched with Polk County EMS and/or Polk County Rescue Squad. All first responders drive their own private vehicles to the scenes of emergency calls. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
