* That the doctors Harriet visited in Vienna have given her good news regarding her foot and the pain she has been experiencing
* For times of rest and rejuvenation
* For the hospitality of our Polish friends and co-workers, and for being able to celebrate Christmas with them
* For our good health
* For the faith and example of some of our students - may they continue to be strengthened in their faith and their witness
* For the creativity, flexibility, and desire to serve that we see in our fellow missionaries - their lives and service are a great example and encouragement to us
* That we are attentive to God's will and find ways to enrich the spiritual lives of our students
* *For a smooth transition for missionaries who are still in the field but are preparing to return home in a few months
* For God to place sources of encouragement and friendship in the lives of isolated missionaries
* For Harriet Newman - that her house may sell and her foot may heal while she serves on the mission field in Poland
