| TOULOUSE GEESE | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Pictures load slowly, Please be patient. The Toulouse Geese remind me of big fluffy toys. They are so docile. They are a hard breed to get to produce, but if it were too easy, it wouldn't be as much fun. When raising Toulouse, you must be patient. The oldest Toulouse I have are two years old and that is not mature. I am told about 4 years. I think they are worth waiting for. I am going to add Buff to my Toulouse this year. The one bad thing about the buff color is that it fades in the sun and here in Florida, we have an abundance of that. I have the 5 foot across kiddy pools for my geese to bath and breed in as I think any waterfowl needs this and they are fun to watch. All the pictures here were taken in July in Florida with 90+ temperatures. The birds are not in top weight and just in the middle of the moult. My first stock came from Frank Reese in Kansas. They are beautiful and I thank him. |
