Story: Two boys, Ed and Al, live with their mother in a small village in the countryside. Those two children somehow get interested in alchemy from a young age (about 10 years old) and make many wonderful things with this great power that no other child of their age should be able to do. Suddenly, their mother dies and in their state of panic they decide to revive her even if they know that this action is one of alchemy's forbidden things. Because of the law of equal trade the older brother loses his right arm and the younger one loses his whole body but his soul binds to an armor. The creature that was also created from this experiment was not human. This is the beginning of a big adventure to find the philosopher's stone that can return the body parts that the brothers have lost. The strong bond between their souls will be their most powerful weapon against their enemies. Finally, the story is so intense that will make you cry or even horrify yourself. Many monstrous things happen because of the lack of common sense when using alchemy and many people become crazy. 

Animation: The anime is just one of the best. It features and excellent movie-like animation and also great and realistic sound. Some battles become alive using an outstanding smooth animation.  

Sound: You will love the first opening theme. The background songs were also very good. What stood out was the voice acting. Too realistic and true. That is why Ed's Seiyuu got an award.

General Critic: Be sure not to lose it! It is 51 episodes and every one of them is great!
