Elfen Lied:

Rating: Animation [18/20]
            Sound [18/20]
            Story  [17/20]
            Addiction Level [17/20]

Story: Very rarely, people with two horns are born. These people are called dicloniuses and they have the ability to move some ghostly hands with their will. Using them, they can cut almost through everything and move things from a distance. Since these species can be proven deadly weapons due to their special abilities they are quarantined in a special research facility. One day, a diclonius escapes and kills almost everyone that it meets. After it gets away from the facility it meets a boy, but now it seems that it has become another person, unable to speak and very sweet. It stays with him and a complicated story begins.
This anime is absolutely violent. Hands, heads and legs are constantly being cut off, while blood covers everything. The story is clever and interesting.

Animation: This anime is a 2004 production. The animation is great with vivid colors and smooth movement. The background and the characters are well designed but I did not like that the 20 years old people look like 15.

Sound: The opening and closing themes are simple yet nice. The atmosphere is a bit dark and the music tones match this. The voice overs are in normal levels.

General Critic: It was one of the best anime in 2004. Of course it is quite small and leaves many questions in the end. It can also not be seen by young viewers due to its explicit content (some nudity) and the violence. I recommend it as a nice anime.

Midis: There are no midis in the midis section.
