The History of Manda - According to Fox

The Way Early Years

In the beginning, there was Manda and there was Fox. In the days which they first meet each other, Fox was not yet known as "fox." In fact Fox was known as that one nerdy kid that's really quiet but really smart and playes the violin well. He's pretty cute too - you know, in that nerdy way. Thankfully for Fox, Manda was the sexy bombshell nerd magnet. Lol - more fitting she was sort of a nerd herself. Fox was introduced to Manda by his friend the Goliath - or at least he was one of the tallest and strongest guys they've ever meet. Manda was a musician herself - a violinist (yeah violins!) - and they were all talking about Star Trek - 'cause sci-fi is cool yo. Little did Fox know that (hot and sexy) person (awesome friend) he meet that day afterschool in the orchestra room would be one of the most influencial people in his life.

The Reunion

The summer before Fox started high school, he took a PE summer school course that would introduce him to key members that would later reunite Manda and Fox. Fox was with his buddies the Goliath and the Socialist when he meet Beavergirl (recently evolved into DigiRat - like in Pokemon!). Beavergirl would be one of Fox's best friends during HS. Fox however wouldn't feel the influences of the Goddesses until almost a full year later. As luck would have it, Fox, the Goliath, the Socialist, Beavergirl, and Manda would all have the same lunch together. This was the start of a beautiful friendship.

Breaking the Shell

A good half of Fox's HS freshman year had gone by - Fox and his buddies were used to chatting intelligently and playing chess during lunch when a revolution would happen and the guys table would merge with the girls. Fox had also gone through his first high school heartbreak - a really kawaii korean girl who could only be friends with the cute-in-a-nerdy-way boy. Manda would play a vital role in changing (or corrupting - whichever you want to call it) Fox's life - forever. Fox placed himself in a semi-depressive stage for awhile. He knew that his shell of being quiet, shy, and fashionably challenged (which hasn't changed any) was not something he was happy being. He wanted to be able to interact with the people around him and truly express and open up the awesome friend that he wanted to be with people. He was tired of being passive and it was not someone that Fox wanted to be anymore. Being around Manda, Beavergirl, and their myriad of kooky friends taught Fox a very important lesson: that people should accept you for who you really are. While comparing his place within his HS groups of friends - one more popular and preppy / the other pretty nerdy and semi-gothic - he realized that his group with Manda has always accepted him for who he was, even when sometimes he couldn't speak out and tell them who he was. He wanted to share with this incredible group of friends the person within the nerdy asian shell. Step one was admitting that he was quasi-evil. Of course for sweet and innocent Fox could never admit this. Soon the corruption began. At first Fox would cup his ears and start singing s"It's a Small World" when the Goddesses would strike their charmed verse, but soon he would open up and become an integral member of the Goddesses team (well technically he served as some dude in Limbo, but he didn't complain at the time). Fox enjoyed learning about astrology - releasing the inner Gemini - and talking about comic books, sci-fi, and animation. It was good times. And thus the loud mouth Fox was born.

Bogus Fortunus

At one of Manda's birthday parties, Digirat was unable to attend the exclusive "Host Your Own Mystery" party and Fox was called to take her place. This was one of Fox's first times at Manda's house and certainly not his last. (You know, because they would become good friends and hang out and stuff. Yeah, we'll get to all that later.) The fun mystery game was a nice time to see Manda and her home side and the fun and sincere side of her. Fox played a character named Bogus Fortunus and had a fun time helping everyone solve the mystery!

Manda in a Dress and A Dance

During a cheesy high school luau dance, Fox had the priveledge to hang out with The Goddesses for the night. He had once again been rejected by someone from the other half of his friends that still did not quite fully understand who he was. He was still in the process of figuring out who he was. That night he had the rare treat of seeing Manda in a dress! Lol. Very rare. Casual dress, but still very rare. As a special treat to go along with the dress, Fox got to dance with the Goddesses. This was a very funny night since none of us consider ourselves dancing experts yet they had the most fun with it as possible. He even showed of his Vietnamese salsa he picked up from imitating his mom. Lol. His other friends would later comment on how silly he looked, but dancing with friends that appreciated his company was fun no matter how silly he looked. That night he also had the treat of dancing with the Goddesses' friend Kris - a lovely girl in Fox's life at that time that also made him feel very special. Together with this awesome group of friends, Fox would finally grow out of his shell and find out all the wonderful possibilities and opportunities that awaited him.

Era of Kooshman

In Fox's sophomore year in high school, he decided that it was time to prove his confidence and up his image. This was the era of the 11 different hair cuts. It is said that Fox had found 11 different hair styles during his high school years. One of his short and sorta longish spiky hair cuts earned him the nickname "Kooshman." Together, Kooshman and Beavergirl even created a short lived comic series on notebook paper. Their studio was 5th period Algebra II Trig. The series depicted Kooshman (or Kooshboy as Beavergirl would tease) and Beavergirl in adventures with the X-Men, Pokemon cast, or with other weirdly drawn characters. Kooshman basically looked like one of those fuzzy kooshballs with legs. Manda would even present Fox with a koosh keychain for Yule. The interests in comics would lead Fox into an even greater era of friendship and adventures.

The MSG Trip

Kooshman and Manda became good friends. They easily became AIM buddies and chatted about everything from life to girls. A lot about girls. And comic books and school and the stress of work. But a lot about girls. Manda was one of the easiest people to talk to out of Kooshman's friends. Sometimes his other friends and family would critique on the oddness of this half of Kooshman's friends, but Koosh was different from most. He rarely held anything against people - how they act, their image, their personalities - he mostly appreciated the traits which made these people awesome and would later place much respect on who they were - imagewise, personalitywise. Manda is one of a kind. They both had their ups and downs during high school - dealing with stress and growing pains. One memerable night was during an IM chat after Kooshman had finished eating a chicken and rice dinner his grandmother had made - with MSG. For some odd reason (claimed to be the MSG), Koosh was hallucinating the image of Rogue from the X-Men in a bikini on the beach and shared this with Manda (who laughed senselessly at him). It was a highly enjoyable experience.

Welcome to Sudd City

Kooshman still was fortunate to have lunch with the Goddesses and during one episode was introduced to the Goddesses' world of Sudd City - a comic book story of dragon-winged rulers and jet pack heroes. More importantly Sudd City would provide the friends with an outlet of creativity and personal struggles. Kooshman was psyched to hear about something as cool as creating a comic book series. Soon the cool names like Ace Action, Kaeldra, Scott Sh'Tape, and Al G. Guy would become regular characters in Fox's life. As his character in Sudd City, Fox choose the name Liu. The kick to the name was his last name (later changed to his middle name) Sah. Liu Sah - "loser." It was really funny at the time. The Goddesses named Liu's girlfriend Mulan. With these new adventures, Kooshman changed his name to "the dude." So now it was known to be as The Goddesses and the dude. It was during this time that the dude would fall in love with Manda's artwork. The Sudd City team would churn out dozens of storylines and artwork and the dude would even dedicate some of his time in presenting the group's work in a nicely designed website. The dude at one point was working on half a dozen storylines at the same time. Very few of them have meet completion. On his 18th birthday, the dude recieved a Sudd City poster designed my Manda. It now hangs in his room as one of his most cherished posessions. Although Sudd City will always live on as a creative child of theses friends, college would soon distance them all apart. As an orchestra member of his high school, Fox had the priviledge to to play during Manda's high school graduation ceremony. Manda, went on to UNLV as Digirat and Fox finished up their Senior year of high school.

The College Years

The college years would bring out a lot more bonding but a few hardships as well. Fortunately, the friends would find a prince that would forever uplift the spirit of the group. Mr. Hahn - Manda's Philipino manslave - would accent the group and further complete it's dynamic. With Digirat and Fox away at college, knowing that another great friend was back at NV with Manda was comforting for all of them. Sean quickly grew on us and the yaoi puppy. During college breaks the friends have a blast hangging out at Fazoli's or Manda's house watching anime and Miyuki in Wonderland. Ah! Corruption to the max! Actually the anime was quite hot. Manda continues to play a role as one of Fox's most influencial friends and forever remains the most awesomist goddess ever!
