I left my practice in California where I have worked in Family Practice and Emergency Medicine. My partner and I moved to Colfax, Wisconsin, tp a 22 acre "hobby farm." I'm working with Mayo Health systems, staffing a rural hospital emergency room in Barron WI.
My partner is a Paramedic and a Firefighter. He is licensed as a Paramedic in Wisconsin, California and Minnesota..
I am licensed to practice in the state of Wisconsin, and certified as a PA by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assitants. I hold additional recognition in surgery.
I am a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician, (http://www.aapa.org) the Wisconsin Academy of Physician Assistants, (www.wapa.org) and the Society of Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants. (www.sempa.org).
I hold additional certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Critcal Care and Advanced Trauma Life Support.
Areas of special interest and training include: diabetes, hypertension, asthma, COPD, and Hepatitis C.

My background also includes extensive experience in counseling. Included in this is work with emotionally disturbed adolescents, persons with drug addiction, and general mental health. My counseling technique is influenced by Carl Jung, John Sanford, Ira Progoff and Thomas Moore.
I am holistic in my approach to life and to people. Although trained in western medicine, I collaborate with herbalists, naturopaths, accupuncturists, nutritionists, physical therapists and chiropractors.
As a gay man, I am particularly attuned to the health needs of gay, lesbian and transgendered patients.
