In 1972, Polara Manufacturing Company was started as a prime contract supplier of stainless steel tables, carts and other ancillary equipment for major supermarket chains from Norfolk, Virginia to Boston, Massachusetts. From this base, a proprietary product line of equipment was designed and expanded to service the bakery and packing house needs. Now there has been a change of ownership and name. The new name is Polara Manufacturing Limited. Polara Manufacturing Limited presently markets in 38 states, Canada and Mexico. It's base consists of chains from Washington, D.C. to Arizona and a broad base of approximately 175 machinery dealers and distributors. A few of Polara's table top items are sold in all states. Polara Manufacturing Limited is also an O.E.M. supplier to several prime bakery and meat machinery manufacturers. Products that are supplied on an O.E.M. and catalog basis are: Bakery Oven Racks, Special Machine and Scale Stands and a wide range of Packing for Produce and Deli operations. Until recently, Polara Manufacturing Limited was a 100% stainless house. However, to continue to satisfy customer needs, a complimentary group of products are now available in aluminum. Aluminum tables and carts offer an alternative economic choice. All items in stainless steel and aluminum are "N S F" listed and feature all welded construction.
