A Little Bit Dyslexic

I learned to read and right
But not without a fight
It was an uphill struggle all the way

With dread I read out loud,
No matter who the crowd,
For what I read would not be what I'd say

Teacher said my handwriting was dismal
And my spelling was abysmal;
He thought a good beating ought to pull me through

And its funny how when its mentioned
People often break the tension
By saying,
                      "Ah yes! I was a little bit dyslexic too."
