Heh, the kids scared of me. Kakarotto muttered under his breath as he flew on, looking for a good place to train the Gohan.
Huh? Scared? But he was being so polite to you... Goku sounded bewildered.
Oh, he thinks Im you. Thinks you went insane and that he has to be careful around us or well turn on him. Funny, ne? Kakarotto chuckled.
Gohan couldnt hear their quiet conversation due to the wind whipping around him as they sped through the air, but he did know something was up. Call it a gut feeling.
You ok da-Kakarotto-san? He called out at the grown Saiyajin.
Youll be asking yourself that when Im done with you boy, and the answer will be no. Kakarotto laughed then turned his attention back to the inner dialogue he was having. Hes definitely scared. Heh, if dad went insane Id just kill him to end his misery. Though, I suppose its a good thing your boy hasnt killed me... Kakarotto sank deep into thought.
Hm... Youd kill our father? To explain why Goku said our father; Goku had decided to treat Kakarotto like the brother hed never had. A scary, violent brother that controlled his body sometimes, but a brother none the less (incidentally, the scary, violent brother Goku had had, he refused to see as a relative, but you all know that already).
Sure, hed be a danger to himself and others otherwise. Might end up hurting himself or attacking random people. Insane Saiyajin are quite violent if provoked, and the oddest things provoke em. Kakarotto said in the genkiest tone Gokud ever heard him use (seeing as hed only know him two days, this isnt surprising). Of course, poor Goku didnt know that the Saiyajin talking so cheerfully about insane Saiyajin was trying to disturb Goku. No, Goku just thought Kakarotto was weird.
...Right. Uh, how long are we going to be flying anyway? Goku asked.
Depends, how far is the nearest desert in this direction? Kakarotto glanced back to make sure the brat was keeping pace, then, satisfied that he was, turned his attention back to Goku again.
Er, quite a ways. Theres one to the southwest though. Goku informed him.
Alright! Kakarotto grinned and halted in midair, then blasted off to the southwest. Gohan almost overshot him in surprise, but quickly corrected his course.
Uh, Kakarotto-san? Where are we going? Gohan timidly asked the man who shared a body with his father after hed caught up with them.
To train. Kakarotto told him curtly, and sped up.
Gohan just looked at him oddly and matched his speed.
--- --- ---
Red rocks, as far as the eye could see. Tall plateaus, layered with centuries of different types of dirt, red clay being predominant, were scattered here and there, towering over the landscape. Off in the distance to the south you could see the red stone start to give way to red sand.
Gohan was a little disturbed at the moment.
Uh, Kakarotto-san? Are we going to be training here? Gohan looked over at the man who used to be his father.
Yes, we are. Kakarotto nodded briefly and went back to looking around appraisingly.
Er... Why? Gohan asked.
Yeah, why? Goku echoed.
Because it reminds me of home. Kakarotto answered simply, slipping into a fighting stance Now boy, show me what you can do.
Uh, ok Kakarotto-san... Gohan nervously lowered himself into his own stance.
Goku was quiet.
