A Self-Insertion for those who just can't take it any more

Disclaimer: If DBZ was mine, I wouldn't need to self-insert to get the characters to do what I wanted!

Warnings: Cathowl says 'Hell'.
Scott decides that he's sick of the DBZ characters not doing what's obviously the best thing to do, and uses the Dragonballs to wish himself into the DBZ universe. Can he get Goku and Vegeta together? Can he convince Yamcha to settle down? And, toughest of all, can he convice Chi-chi to let Gohan have a day off to play?

"Maia! No! Don�t do this! I�m your best Mary Sue! Send me in your place!"
The youth being addressed tried to pry the cat-eared half Saiyajin off his leg, to no avail.
"Cathowl, I�m tired of using you. I want to do this myself! ...And my name�s Scott." The youth crossed his arms over his chest and glared at the girl clinging to him.
Cathowl sighed.
"Fine, but it�s your butt if Vejita final flashes you to Hell."
"Whatever. You have the Dragonballs?" Scott watched as Cathowl released his leg and started digging around in on of her pockets.
"Yeah, they�re in a capsule here somewhere... Aha!" Cathowl pressed the button on the capsule and tossed it into the middle of the field. Six orange balls came flying out to settle in a circle in the grass.
"Hn. And you remember the summoning words properly?" Scott asked as he pulled the last ball from his own pocket and set it in the middle of the other six.
"Hai. Back off." Cathowl grabbed Scott by the back of his shirt collar and yanked him away from the balls, then bellowed into the sky "Arise mighty Shenlon and grant our wishes!"
Out of balls a golden light flashed, then shot into the air, an enormous yellow streak, like reverse lightning. It solidified, forming itself into a gigantic Dragon, with long whiskers, sharp claws, and no tail, as it seemed to be coming out of the balls.
"Reflect apon your desires mortals, for I grant but two wishes. What is your first wish?" Intoned the Dragon, making the very earth under the feet of the boy and the girl quiver.
"I wish to be transported to the universe which is represented in the anime �DragonBall Z, until I wish to return, active immediately after my second wish has been granted!" The boy bellowed up at the Dragon.
"What?" Cathowl wrinkled her nose in confusion and blinked at the boy.
The Dragon�s eyes flashed.
"Your wish is granted. What is your second wish?"
"I wish to be immune to any physical or ki-based attack directed at my person that originates from Vejita." The boy stated firmly.
Again the Dragon�s eyes flashed.
"It is done. Fare you well."
And both the boy and the Dragon disappeared in a flash of light. The Dragonballs hovered up and shot off in all directions.
Cathowl collapsed to her knees.
"Baka... You should have had me go... I�m strong enough to handle Vejita..."
