Starmie and staryo are Misty's original Pokemon. She often uses them in battles, but they don't have much of a personality. Neither of them say their names. They just make these weird sounds.
Starmie is her most powerful Pokemon. I think it has won the most battles for Misty in the gym, I always have trouble beating her stramie.
Staryu is Misty's second most powerful Pokemon. It hasn't evolved into Starmie yet and
I don't think it ever will. Misty use's them to battle Ash at the cerulean gym because her sisters have no Pokemon except for a Seel.
