Professor Elm

One of the most important people here is Professor Elm, whose lab is located in the northwestern part of town. He has the custom of giving new trainers a Pokémon.

His house, however, is located farther to the southeast. There, his wife and his son live. His son dreams about becoming a Pokémon Professor himself, and his wife constantly worries because Elm is often so busy with work, he forgets about everything else, including food!

Yoshi's House

In this town, the house of a pokémon trainer is found. His mother lives here and keeps the house in order. She also calls him to his Pokégear (which she herself gave him) every now and then to check on how he's doing. She sometimes also keeps money for him.

The Rival's Crime

A pokémon was stolen from Professor Elm's lab by this character at the left – back in the year 2000. This caused a rivalry to form between him and the trainer mentioned above.

Female Trainer

In 2001, a girl trainer also moved into the town. Her mother acted quite the same as that of the other trainer mentioned above. They live very close to each other in the not-so-big New Bark Town.
