Town
of the Slowpokes
 The
first thing most tourists notice when they arrive at Azalea Town is the
fact that there's Slowpokes practically everywhere. They are adored by the
people in the town.
Near the
entrance of the town is Slowpoke's Well where Slowpokes live. Deep inside
this well there is also someone hiding who is investigating the slowpokes.
Kurt's
House

Many people come to Azalea town to see Kurt.
He is famous for making special
pokéballs from apricorns that grow on trees. However, he will
only make one type of ball a day per trainer. |

Team
Rocket's Take-over

Back in 1999, Team
Rocket practically took control of the town. They took all the Slowpokes
down to the Slowpoke's Well. There, they would cut their tail off, sell it at
a high price, wait for the Slowpoke's tail to grow back, and cut it off again.
This would've continued forever if the
trainer hadn't
come and put an end to their malicious actions. |
Pokémon
Gym
| Bugsy's Gym has lots of trees in it and lots of bug-type pokémon,
which he is an expert on. |

Charcoal
Maker's House

One of the less famous attractions in this town is the charcoal
maker's house. He uses the HM Cut to cut down trees and make
charcoal. Charcoal is not only good for burning, but it will also
boost the fire-type attacks of a Pokémon.
Once, his apprentice lost his Fartetch'd in Ilex forest and a
trainer was required to get it back. This trainer was
rewarded with the HM Cut. |
Ilex
Forest
| To the northwest of Azalea town is Ilex forest. In it, there is a
shrine honoring the forest's protector. It watches over the forest
across time. It is rumored that this protector is Celebi, the strong,
rare, time-traveling, grass-type pokémon.
It is said that Celebi can be caught with the GS
ball.
