Strategy Using:
When looking at Omastar's stats the two that pop at you are it's defence and
it's special attack. I personally prefer the Physical wall/Spiker set to the
special sweeper, since that set really needs a good Hidden Power in grass
or Electric. In this set, my suggestion is to lead with Toxic (or Protect to
test what moves your opponent will use, since you don't want Omastar facing
a special sweeper) and then begin laying out those spikes. After that just
combine Protects with Surf *try not to make it predictable* to replenish
health with leftovers and to let Toxic take effect. On every switch make
sure to use Protect *unless of course you are going to make your plan too
obvious* to feel out for techniques.
Strategy Against:
Omastar has one of the best defences in the game *at least for a
non-legendary* but it has below average special defence and a 4x weakness to
Grass attacks, so use either those or Electric attacks to take it down.

Strategy Using:
I like to combine Tickle with Attract, since it 'worsens' the condition of
opposing Pokemon, making nervousness a highly likely event. Water Gun is
just highly appealing, and Façade has always been a favourite of mine in
contests like this to get you out of a tough spot.
