Pokémon pinball combines the strategy of catching and evolving Pokémon while
at the same time playing pinball. Pinball has a built in rumble system
very much like the rumble pack for the n64. If you insert an AAA battery you
will feel the thundershock of Pikachu shocking the ball.
Just like Pokémon red/blue/yellow you will be able to catch all 150 Pokémon
including using a gameshark to get mew.
You can select from 2 tables the red and the blue. For the blue table you need
to hit the ball into cloyster to go into catch em mode, Slowbro to evolve a
caught Pokémon, and hit shellders to flip the pieces while your catching Pokémon
and also to gather points. For the red table it is a bit harder you need to hit
into ditto which is usually blocked, and hit it into bellsprout to go into catch
em mode and hit voltorbs to flip over pieces.
If you enter catch em mode you will start with a shadow of a Pokémon as you hit
shellder or voltorb the pieces will flip once you they are all flipped the Pokémon
will pop out you will need to spell catch by hitting the Pokémon and hit it
once more to catch it.
To evolve Pokémon once you hit it into ditto or slowbro you will have a choice
of the Pokémon you caught that round to evolve once you pick one you will have
to collect exp. or if in the regular Pokémon games they evolve by stones you
will collect the stones. Sometimes your Pokémon will feel tired so you will
have to hit it into ditto/bellsprout or slowbro/cloyster and they will recover.
Once you collect 3 exp or stones you will have to hit it into the hole and they
will evolve.
Also at the start you will see the Pokédex. You can go there and see what Pokémon
you've caught and evolved and also if you hold start you will see them animated
and if you hold select you'll see how many Pokémon you caught/how many you've
seen.
As your playing if you hit the dugtrio in the red table or poliwag and psyduck
in the blue 3 times you will see hurry up. You'll have 30 seconds to hit the
ball all the way around the table or hit it into the catching or evolving Pokémon
and a hole will appear if you hit it in the hole you will travel to the next
area where you can catch new Pokémon.
