Episode1: I choose you!
this episode opens with Ash watching a pok�mon tournament, Its already late but he's still awake because he can't get to sleep because tomorrow he will get his very first pok�mon from Professor Oak. His mom comes in, and says him that he has to go to bed, or he will be exhausted by the morning, but Ash knows for sure that he cannot sleep at a moment like this. "then look whats on this channel, instead of that pok�mon tournament!" says Ash's mom. It's professor Oak, telling the upcoming Pok�mon trainers that they can chose outta 3 pok�mon: Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle. Ash decides just to go to bed, and the whole night he has dreams about what pok�mon to choose. But his dreams are a bit to real, and he smashes his clock (in the shape of a pok�ball) against the wall, dreaming that he throws a pok�ball... That morning he's far too late because his clock isnt working anymore. When he comes to professor Oak he meets his future rival: Gary. Gary is very full of himself and tells Ah that he chose the best Pok�mon there is and that Ash is far too late. But Ash enters professor Oak's lab anyways, with a little sprankle of hope. But when he has openend all three pok�balls he finds out that all pok�mon are gone. His very sad, so Professor Oak tells him that he has one pok�mon left, but that he very recalcitrant, and not easy to raise. But Ash wants it anyway, because he wants to be the very best pok�mon trainer one day, so he thinks he can handle it. And of course: The Pok�mon is pikachu. "Oh, he's so cute!!!" shouts Ash, but when he lifts Pikachu up to hug him he finds out that he hasn't such a cute personality, 'cause Pikachu immediatly treats Ash with an electric shock... Professor Oak gives Ash a pok�dex; a little computer with data of all discovered pok�mon in the world. his mom is waiting for him, to wish him good luck. His mom is very proud, and she has brought a bag full of stuff, and she says: "Ash, don't forget to change undie's everyday!" Ash is as embarresed as could be and quickly goes over to another topic. But he dont have time for that because his mom asks him if Pikachu doesnt look a bit weird... Pikachu looks mischiviously and treats the whole crowd with an electric shock, the only thing Professor Oak can say is that the rubber gloves that his mom brought could be in use because rubber doesn't conduct energy.
When Ash and Pikachu's journey begins he finds out that pikachu really isnt one of the easiest po�mon to raise, he doesnt listen to Ash's commands and he refuses to get into the pok�ball. Ash see' a pidgey and decides to catch it himself, but it doesnt really work with throwing stones so he walks over to it and tries to catch it in the bag but Pidgey does his sandattack (dunno what's it called in english) and his Typhoon attack. Ash gets blown away, but a moment later he thinks he sees another pidgey so he throws a stone again and this time it lands right on the pok�mon's head... But it isnt a pidgey but a spearow!!! He runs afetr Ash, But attacks Pikachu because Some pok�mon are jealous at pok�mon with a trainer. Pikachu gives him an electric shock and the spearow flies away. They both think that they did it and Ash is very proud of pikachu, But the psearow comes back... Bringing his friends!!! So a couple of 25 Spearows fly after them and the only thing that Ash and Pikachu can do is run. Ash promises to protect pikachu but the spearows begin to pick Pikachu and him. Pikachu and Ash jumps into a river, and they get fished out by Misty. He 'borrows' Misty's bike, but when they are on their way to viridian city the spearows come back...
Ash cycles as hard as he can but the spearows throw him off misty's bike. Ash has enough of it and sacrifices himself to save Pikachu. "Go into your pok�ball!!! That's the only way i can save you!" Ash screams. But Pikachu' jumps in the air and conducts energy from the tunder so that he can give even a bigger electric shock. The next morning when Ash awakens he sees that the spearows are gone, but Pikachu looks dead. "please, no..." he thinks, but pikachu opens his eyes. "Pika..chu.." Ash takes Pikachu in his arms, and heads to the pok�mon centre in veridian city.
