Just a bit more to the mythology lesson. Or alternate mythology. In one version of mythology, it says that the goddess Selene fell in love with the sheperd Endymion (yes, the name that is suppose to apply to Darien when he is royalty).

However, in an alternate version, Selene falls in love and marries Pan. Pan is a nature god who is pretty much a satyr/faun.

Also in mythology, there is a form of Zeus known as Zeus Pandion. Zeus Pandion is the full moon god.

These two bits combine to the name of Queen Serenity's husband and Princess Serena’s father: Pandion.
