Solar Revolution Notes
Chapter Eight: As Was Written
- Today I did something I rarely do: put in a scene just for the hell of it. I'm referring to the girls studying for midterms (evil, evil word). I could give you a false reason such as "I put that scene in to demonstrate their normalcy," but that would be dishonest. Oh, not that I don't admit I love coming up with long-winded insincere justifications, but I'm not going to bother with that with today's notes. I just did it to incorporate something to relate with the title "As Was Written."
- I love today's title. Sorry. I had to get that out of my system.
- I had Phoebe make her insightful statement when I realized that it does apply to Celeste's behavior. Celeste does push people away. The whys: Her parents stupid mistakes (will be explained in chapter 10), her friend Jonathan (will be explained in chapter 10), and her last task in the Silver Millenium (more details later on).
- The memories the girls had of the Silver Millenium, those refer to my plans for each planetary culture. I definitely plan to gradually expose the flaws of the Silver Millenium, and how it was NOT paradise.
- Tasia (Crustacean) and Cornelius (Scorpion); nice ring to it (not really, but pretend it does). This is just another development of the complicated interpersonal relationships on the Evolite ship. Logic- scorpions I associate with deserts, and crustaceans I associate with the ocean; hence a nice contrast in personalities. Also, both creatures have sharp appendages, and shells (or exoskeletons). Tasia blends with her environment due to the fact that hermit crabs do just that, and Tasia combines characteristics from many crustaceans.
- The Golden Scriptures are my pride and joy. They hold so much power and are without limitations. And it is a nice legitimate way for otherwise classified information to become apparent. And who the Great Scribe really is, Mnemonsyne, will really blow your minds. At times it might be helpful to think of the Scriptures (excuse me if I switch back and forth from making it/them singular to plural) like that old show "Ghostwriter." And one of my vanities is the line "The pen is mightier than the sword; the sword can decide between life and death of the body, but the pen can decide between enlightenment and misguidance of the mind, heart, and soul. Does the pen then tell me that the blood on the sword is of less value than the ink from the pen?"
- Pretty shocking that DJ, Derek, and the SSW are all the same person. At least, I assume you realized that. If not, then you haven't been paying attention. I mean come on, I had DJ outright say that his birth-given name is Derek. And also, DJ mentioned Solar and Vickie, whom he only would have encountered while under the name of Derek. Not that this is his first secret we discover. The rest of his past is pretty exciting, but you'll find out firsthand… eventually.
- This brings me to why Celeste had changed her appearance: so DJ wouldn't recognize her at that point in time as the Solar Sailor. One passage written in the Golden Scriptures is: "Let the paths of the guardians cross those of importance." Meaning, how the senshi always "coincidentally" meet people who later on are either villains or victims is justified by that one passage int the Scriptures. Just a minor demonstration of its immense influence. But seriously, while I believe reality is full of coincidences, I think it is stupid that it is “coincidental” that the senshi are always at the right place at the right time. Weak. The Scriptures give a logical reason, and also affect the physical world so there are reasons why the senshi are there at the ideal moment.
- I think it is cute that Brian has a crush on Hotaru. The senshi of the Silent Planet and a deaf genius. A delicious combination. But as Hotaru said, her life is much more complicated than he realizes. More complicated than even she realizes. Like...and...in addition to... and you can't forget...
- Also there is a logical reason why Celeste feels cold around Hotaru. I really want to tell you why now, honest, but that would ruin a pivotal point in the next season. Sorry. If it is any help, Hotaru in turn feels warmth directed from Celeste.
- I can only give brief information on the Ankhphars. They are also known as the Living Kindoms, and by Kingdoms, I mean the ones associated with life (Animals, Plants, Fungus, Protozoa, Monerans). They are a nomadic society that originated in the Genoikan Galaxy. The Ankhphars travel the universe seeking more people who have the potential to join them and train their powers. For the significance of the Ankhphars is that they can control living beings. For example, a BotanCiron (Plant Master) can control plants, from their birth and death, to life expectancy, to all sorts of abilities. Fauna had long ago escaped Them temporarily and apprenticed under the Ankhphars to further develop her powers over animals. But the compulsions They place on Fauna forced her to escape the Ankhphars. She is known as a SapitCiron (Animal Master) among the Ankhphars. The word Ankhphar comes from the Egyptian words Ankh (life) and Pharoah (King).
- Advice I decided to repeat in every one of my notes here on out: pay attention to the details if you want to guess my foreshadowings. I rarely put in a detail just for the hell of it, though that is occasionally fun, I don't have the time to waste on superfluous minute aspects. So if you read something and it seems like it has been mentioned before, there is a good likelihood it was. There are many reoccurences. On that note, I do plan on tying up some loose ends I left in the beginning, such as Raye's visions. That is really important in the long run, and I'm going to periodically bring them up again.
- Something to think about. It is a confirmed fact that Fauna is kind of insane. Now the question is do the infamous Them exist or are They, and in turn the voices she hears, part of her imagination which she can't discern from reality? Sorry, but it is sooooo fun tantalizing you with questions that I'm not going to answer for several episodes. So you'll see. =^,
- So after hearing my wise words, and marvelous opinions, outside of the context of the story, I hopefully leave you longing for more of my quick wit and humor. Now then, it is 2:30 AM and I have completed yet another chapter and another set of notes that gives further explanations. I'm now going to head off to my room and roam around the realm of Morpheus.
Hope you enjoyed this episode. I assume the amount of action and twists and secret plots was satisfactory. Be prepared for more upcoming episodes and an entirely new look for the whole site. Please E-mail me at [email protected]. Keep reading. =vD
