Solar Revolution Notes
Chapter Six: Double Edge
- In case you haven't noticed, Celeste's taste in guys isn't that great. It's not as bad as it could be, but still... I think for now she is planning on keeping Jesse, however. But Celeste has her reasons for dating the guys she dates.
- I know it seems like the whole Annie scandals have been dragging on, but they'll reach their pivotal point next episode. Will the Monarch Butterfly save her in time? Or am a sick enough author to let Annie be raped. =>'
- Just an interjection: Will Jamie ever tell Mina he knows she is Sailor Venus?
- Gabrielle (3rd Captain of the Hoof; a.k.a. Gazelle), did she seem evil to you? Thought not. So of course she isn't going to be destroyed. By the senshi, that is.
- Ironic that a character I despise, Jared, keeps making returning appearances. Just thought I'd point that out.
- My sick little writing pleasure is having the characters have problems. Perfect characters are boring. Pure evil characters, misguided, and good guys who have problems with loneliness, now those are fun characters, both to write and read about. But it does make sense that Trista feels lonely. That is how she strikes me, more so than any of the characters ever were.
- There is a significance to today's victims' names. Deena Fends (as in Defense) and Owen Seave (Offensive) are co-owners of Fends-Seave (fensive), because fencing is all about defense and offense.
- Significance of today's title, double edge. One, that M's selective believing in certain rumors has caused more problems than had he believed in all or none. Also there are two fighters with blades (double edge) as the victims. And then there is Pluto's deja vu, which did more harm than good. Those of you who are observant have probably noticed all sorts of other ironies that can apply, but these were the only ones I sought out to include.
- As I've pointed out, to an extent, I love manipulating characters into positions where everything doesn't come easily to them. Celeste may have this amazing gift of telepathy, but she is quickly discovering nothing is without a price. The marionette effect (that's what I call her controlling another being like she did today) is only the beginning of the problems it can cause. Phoebe has her work cut out.
- Isn't the whole Fauna destroying lives to create an Evolite thing sick? =>'
- In case the fight scene got you confused, time-wise, they overlap. I was just too lazy and unwilling to keep jumping from one fight scene to the other. If it still confuses you, go back and reread it!
- Oh, for those of you curious for my mind-set when I decided to have Saturn, Fuschia Moon, and Phoebe managed to heal Owen, here it is. I want to emphathise my point that Celeste is not essential to the team, although she has so much to contribute. She is not here to displace characters, nor represent some ideal of mine. She is just my spin of a strong senshi of the sun and light.
- Listen, you guys might want to go back, those of you who realized this was not the first time Queen Clarity and King Sunblaze were mentioned. Clarity is Queen Serenity's younger sister, and Sunblaze (used to be Starblade before his marriage) comes from the Stellar Empire, which will get more description later on. And yes, Celeste is not an only child. Remember that, remember that, remember that.
- One last note, if you don't know words such as "necromancy," here is a little bit of advice. Expand your vocabulary by looking it up in the dictionary.
Hope you enjoyed this episode. I assume the amount of action was satisfactory. Be prepared for more upcoming episodes and an entirely new look for the whole site. Please E-mail me at [email protected]. Keep reading. =vD
