Solar Revolution Notes
Chapter Five: Revelations
- Here is a major hint for guessing what will happen: pay close attention to everything about Derek. When I finally do let on to what is his entire significance, I would be interested in how many people, if any, guessed it. For those who are too lazy to double check, his full name is Derek Johnson.
- Also, Fauna, she isn't as ignorant about earth as she seems. Her knowledge of earthling culture is, shall we say, outdated. And for those confused about the language thing, here is my explanation. The Evolites do have a language, one that Fauna created based on her native tongue. Yes I know, it is shocking she has the capability to do something that requires that much details. But there are also reasons why everyone can understand one another. First, all the Evolites are thoroughly taught their upcoming planet's lingo. Secondly, all the Evolites have regular injections of language chips. These are microscopic chips that have the ability to translate directly to the brain instantly. The thing that sucks about them is that they are injected at the temple (ew... I know). Derek and Fauna also receive these injections. So hopefully this should explain everything about the communications.
- Fauna only takes the Sailor senshi seriously half the time. The other half, they are just pests.
- I know Raye is the group psychic. Celeste's telepathy is not meant to displace this. But I think it should be pointed out that there are different types of psychic powers. So in my world, to make it clear, Raye has Sight (clairvoyance, intuition, foresight, etc.) and Celeste has Mind (telepathy, mindspeech, probing, etc.) And one thing that should not be misinterpreted, Celeste does not have the ability to see the future. She gradually is regaining her memories of the past. It is unclear as of yet whether she actually sees Queen Serenity and the mystery guy, or if they are figures of her subconscious.
- Please don't E-mail me about what actually happens between Derek and Vickie (5th of the Den Generals; a.k.a. Vixen). I won't respond. Any other E-mail is more than welcomed. Either let your sick minds roam or think everything remained PG.
- So far the cats don't have much purpose. I'm struggling to find their place in the scheme of things, since many of my upcoming characters displace their purpose. So Luna, Artemis, and Diana fans, be patient. They will not be dead weight. Actually, I'm working on making sure no character is dead weight (or at least the major ones, since no matter what, certain minor characters are just pointless). But I have mini glimpses into what can make them essential in the plot. Otherwise, I'll have to let them fade out of the story. So, you got any general ideas about this, let me know.
- Those of you who noticed Natalie's (5th General of the Swarm; a.k.a. Snail) affliction, and those who have been playing attention, I'll divulge who hurt her. Fauna. Last episode, it left off with Fauna whipping Natalie for her failure. Snail's face is horribly disfigured, and she does not have permission to see the few crew members who are medics. Fauna does have the capabilities to heal Snail herself, but that would defeat the purpose of the punishment. There will be some future stuff about Natalie dealing with her newfound grotesque appearance, especially considering how all Evolites have pleasant faces. For all we know, she might be vengeful for the mutilation. You'll have to wait to see.
- Now, about Amara and Michelle. I'm making them more open about their relationship. But I'm adamant about keeping it clean. Their relationship is suppose to be cute and chaste and loving, not disgustingly vulgar lust. But I think it is realistic that they have a hard time with their peers. While homosexuality does tend (though this isn't always the case) to be tougher socially on guys, it would be idealistic to believe that everything goes perfectly for Amara and Michelle. And about Jared, he is a testosterone high, inbredded, ignorant, idiotic, spoiled-rich-brat who happens to have a messed up value system. Guess it's obvious that I have a low opinion of him. Sad thing is, I created him and I still think he is lower than scum.
- Oh yeah, when I originally started working on this fanfic, I was still going based on the North America episodes. In the North America episodes, Amara and Michelle are cousins. Since I don't enough about the Japanese episodes to entirely dispell this idea, I'm having them be family friends that happened to realize they were much more. If this is absolutely wrong with the Japanese version and this really irritates you, grow up! I'm doing the best I can with what messed up info I've been given. The idea behind my fanfics is not to try being an expert in the Japanese version and showing that off. The motivation is to create my own characters and plot based on a fascinating foundation started by the creator of Sailor Moon.
- Yet another thing I want pointed out. Derek is really smart to have figured out that the Evolites are sterile. Me, I'm not observant enough to have concluded that. But Derek is observant. Then again, so is Celeste, Luna, Amy, Rini, and a few other characters depending on your viewpoint. Afterall, Celeste did figure out who the senshi were purely based on observation (she didn't have her telepathy yet at that point.)
- This episode, I had sick fun having all these little miscalculations happen. It actually might be a habit, until the senshi figure out the full potential of their attacks.
- Celeste in general is not here to displace the other senshi. She is not suppose to become the group psychic, nor be the smart one that realizes how to defeat the enemy, nor be the key character who always beat the enemy (Sailor Moon and Rini). But also, Celeste is not here to replace Luna and Artemis for their knowledge of the past. Celeste will remember what events actually happened in the past, but she doesn't know all the Lunar legends that Luna and Artemis are privy to.
- Mars using her firebird attack: that was on purpose. I proudly admit that I loved those second season one time attacks the Inner senshi had. Gives me an idea, incorporating those attacks in the future. Yeah, that could work if... this and this happen... and then this...
- Queen Serenity is not insane. She is far from perfect. But overall, she is a good person. Just thought I'd point that out (cause once again), this will be explained in future episodes.
- Once more, E-mail me. I need to know if you guys love my ideas, find my wording confusing, detest my ignorance of the Japanese version, whatever.
Hope you enjoyed this episode. Sorry my episodes haven't been put up for a while, but our internet access was gone. Be prepared for more upcoming episodes and an entirely new look for the whole site. Please E-mail me at [email protected]. Keep reading. =vD
