It's a widely debated argument: apples or (dramatic pause) oranges? Which fruit really is "King of the Fruit"? That's exactly what we'll figure out. So sit back, relax, and in a few minutes your mind will finally be put to rest.
Comparing
To begin the discussion, we must start from it's orgin: the phrase "It's like comparing apples to oranges." Of course many people began to state that "Yeah, because everyone knows apples are the best." "WHAT?! oranges are way better!" and so on.
Simularities:
-Both are round.
-Both are around the same size.
-Both are commonly made into juices.
-Both grow on trees.
-Neither have been horror villians (unlike tomatoes).
Differences:
-Apples are red, oranges are orange.
-Orange juice is more commonly drunk in the morning, while apple juice is drunk at any time of day usually.
-Apples can also be green or even yellow. An orange is always orange, baby.
What would win in a fight?
While there is no proof to the answer of this simple question, it's obvious: an apple. Apples are much more durable than oranges, which squish very easily. Any offense that the poor orange could inflict on the vicious apple, would more than likely backfire and soften him up for the whooping the apple would relinquish on the fragile orange's body.
Which is Smarter?
With oranges lack in offense, they more than make up for in smarts. Apples are all brawn and no brains. It's simple to tell that oranges are very clever with their east to peel off, um, peely stuff, and they seperate evenly in sections. What geniuses.
Which is Easiest to consume?
A simple question at first, but don't let that mislead you. While the obvious answer is apples, it really depends on if you want to eat or drink it. Eating an apple is way more easier, but straining juice from it is another story all together. So it goes either way.
And the Winner is...
Okay, yeah, I promised an immediate winner, but fact is, I really don't know, so I've taken the liberty of composing a poll within my group of friends (most of which who are on my ICQ list) and other people I don't know personally but are on my ICQ list. So, the battle will continue; probably forever. With two titans such as apples and oranges, you just can't contain the two. Let the war live on...
Side Note: I'm staying neutral in this war, and I am not persuading anyone to vote apples no matter what anyone says. There is no conspiracy!
