Cut: Cos Life is Too Short
Tomety

Im not a fan of structure, you may think mad fool, seeing as I have a full time job, which I have to catch a planned bus to get to, but on the whole, and on my days off I really cant stand it. But one thing I do every week on a Tuesday and a Thursday is go around to Smiths, and get a copy of The Enquirer (Tuesday) and new born mag Cut (Thursday).
I first saw the campaign for Cut on TV, then on a display in Smiths, and Ive been buying the weekly issue since its release back in August. The slogan Because lifes too short to read everything sums up our outlook of things at this moment in time, if you get my drift. Seeing as invisible weapons of war and hostages taken in Iraq pass politicians by, the attitude that Cut takes suits us as a nation to a tee.
The makers of this new breed of reading have taken 55 papers and 212 magazines to devour and then sick up for our reading pleasure. You get all the best bits with out having to sift through the crap surrounding them. On a first glance you may think its just another Zoo, or Nuts wanna be, but after buying the first issues youve seen all they have to offer you in the next three issues. Cut is different every week. It still retains the same concept, and graces you with some brilliant weekly features, like the sex quiz, the gadgetry reviews and the letters page.
The writers take the same kind of view as yours truly and the monthly writers of P.V, The quick inserts and belly chuckling multiple choice answered questions for the weekly quizzes are in the same mood as ours. A kind of, we dont want to offend, but whats the point of being nice for the sake of it attitude.
The mag features a lot of material from its devoted readers too. This kinda makes you feel wanted in a small way, that your phone pic or stupidity will bring a little smile to someones gloomy face.
The corner of the mag sports a For men badge, but I work in a dominantly female environment, and I could see all of them reading it, You can never please everyone, and maybe nerds would prefer more computer talk, and pervs could do with some more bikini coat hangers, but I think cut has a brilliant mix of just about everything, Smut, sport, fun and of course news.
          Go get it this Thursday!
