| The Corrs at Wembley Ned After being told by a Wembley steward when she searched my bag that my camera would be confiscated if I took it out, I went off to find the seats to see The Corrs comeback tour. They weren't bad, and as the lights dimmed the arena was only three quarters |

The first, Mark Joseph was actually quite good, he did a solo acoustic set of those kinda of singer/songwriter tunes you hear from Damien Rice. The next band were some awful Polish blokes from a rock band called Mysolvitz, sounding something like a wannabe Placebo/Muse, only without giving it the full | ||||||||||||||||
| effort their kind of high energy rock required. Then at about quarter past night The Corrs, an Irish pop band with a string of hits from the last decade from their three albums, came on. Usually there are 3 sisters and a brother, but the drummer had recently had a baby so she wasn't there, leaving the other sister, Sharon all alone on backing vocals, but it still sounded brilliant Lead singer Andrea had to wait a few minutes for the random shouts of 'I love you Andrea!' to die down before she could speak, and she sounded very nervous. Then she told the audience how great the Polish band were, so I guess she's sleeping with someone in, which explains why they picked them to support them in an arena pack with mostly children, their parents and grandparents. There were two massive screens with a live feed, which really enhanced the experience for those of us who weren't lucky enough to be in the front row. | the playing, which was surprising for a band who looked like they were suffering under the full glare of the lights. The girls looked great, Andrea in a long halterneck dress, and Sharon in a shimmery little number. No one was paying attention to their brother Jim but with his receeding hairline who blames them. They looked really annoyed when in between every song there were more shouts of 'We love you Andrea/Sharon', and they looked like they didn't know how to react, which went for when someone threw a can at Andrea mid-twirl, you have to give them credit for being a good aim! They played a few tracks from their current album, but mostly all their well loved hits like Runaway, Breathless and Forgiven Not Forgotten. I managed to take these photos ok, despite the strict Wembley rules as well. My mum made me leave before the encore, but I still went away feeling like I'd just watched a show from a band who really know how to perform live and give their fans what they came for. | ||||||||||||||||
