How to Celebrate the End of Exams
Ned

1. Burn your revision. If youre finishing A levels or GCSEs then you probably wont ever need it again! Bad news if its your AS levels or SATs though, as it may come in handy next year. Last year I told you of my joy at burning my German revision, heres a recap if you wanna do it this year:
-> Get some large stones and put them on a paving slab in a circle. Use tissue underneath the paper.
-> Get each individual bit of paper, scrunch it up (not too tight) and put it in the circle. You may need to hold them down with stones.
-> Lighting it is the hard part. You'll need to strike a match or use a lighter close to the tissue. Matches are good cos you can just drop it quickly onto the tissue.
-> You don't need any fuel, the fire will quickly spread. Stand back to avoid getting ashy. You might want to add some sticks to the pile to keep it burning. If you want to toast marshmallows don't use sticks. That's just gross.
->Dont light it on a windy day near grass (or low hanging trees) thats dry, you dont want to burn down your garden. Have some water/sand near by in case you catch fire to anything, but otherwise just sit back and watch all your revision go up in smoke! It's a wonderful feeling.

2. Party! You dont need to have a massive one with lots of puking and cleaning in the morning, but you can if you want. Get in some booze, some music and food and relax after all that hard cramming. For now you can assume that your hard work paid off and chill out until results day.

3. Dont worry about results! Exam results arent the end of the world, you can always retake them if you want anyway. Remember grade boundaries are set depending on how well or badly everyone in the country did. Theres no point spending 2 months worrying over things you cant do anything about now. Leave it behind in the past, and dont regret how little revision you did.

4. Sleep! Most people spend the exam season walking around in a sleepy stressy daze. Get some sleep, get back into a normal eating pattern and catch up on all those episodes of Neighbours you missed. Stress can give you headaches, stomach aches, disrupted sleep and missed periods. Chill out!

For all of you who still have exams in the next few weeks: Good luck from PV! Don't get too stressed and celebrate in style when it's over!
