Before I begin this rant let me say a HUGE thank you to all of the artists and wonderful graphics designers out there whose talent never ceases to amaze me! Let me say it it weren't for you all my pages would have never looked so beautiful!
I put this page up for a couple of different reasons... First off I am very pleased with the layout of my site thus far. I think the time I have spent searching for pagesets and backgrounds has truely paid off. Secondly, I had not realized early on the meanings behind something being copywritten on the internet. I have a friend now who has her art gallery online. Seeing her art there made me realize how aggravating it would be to see your work stolen and used in places where you didn't intend for it to be.
I had tons of graphics that I had no way of linking back to their origional places because of the months that I spent gathering them and the lack of organization on my part of saving links and urls. I made it my goal to have every single page on this site linked back to where it belongs.
I decided to "no right click disable" most of my pages because I think people need to be aware of what they are doing. My banners are graciously made by their creators after I requested them. I guess I never really thought about asking permission and sure enough as soon as I started this campaign if you will I was stunned at how eager most graphics designers are to help you. By graphics designers I mean those who origionally or with permission did these graphics.
Did you know that taking a graphic without permission and changing it is a copywrite infraction??... That it doesn't make it yours?
So, the credit for the looks of my site go out to all the talented people who designed the sets and graphics that I chose to use. Please visit them and see the beauty they have created. And please be responsible in your use of their work!
