| A Christian is someone who believes that Jesus Christ is the son of God. It is a religion that teaches that Christ's teachings should be taught to and followed by everyone. We find our information about Jesus and his work in the Holy Bible. Most who contributed to the Bible taught that Jesus was not only a man who preached but also a divine being who enlightened others with the "everlasting life" that God has in store for them. Jesus called himself the son of God and taught that all humans were God's children. Christianity teaches that God is the spirit of all that is good and that he will return to destroy the evil forces that denied him or did wrong. This is a constant battle between good and evil that is suppose to end as in the book of revelation with Judgment Day. Christianity teaches that God is love and stresses to it's followers that they must learn to love one another and live their lives the way God intended for them to. Everything we know about Jesus and Christianity came from his followers. Because these followers wrote to persuade believers instead of satisfying curious historical seekers, there are many questions as well as questionable writings in the scriptures that have sparked both controversy and doubt, as well as undying belief and devotion.... Jerusalem was the center of the Christian movement. It became clear later that Jesus in fact was Jewish. |
