Bath Salts
Bath salts are one of my favorite pampering aids:) They are much easier to prepare than I once thought and are suprisingly inexpensive....

The recipe that I have adopted is :

3 parts Epsom salts
2 parts baking soda
1 part borax or table salt

Mix these ingredients in a bowl and you are ready to create whatever your heart desires

This seems to be a pretty common recipe from what I can tell.

I like to add some color to my salts. Sometimes I try to color them according to the smell or the type, other times I like to color them something that corresponds to my intent. I just use regular food coloring that you can by in any grocery store. If I am going for a really nifty color that needs more than one I suggest mixing them in a cup or spoon prior to adding it to the salt mix... or else you could end up with some really funky looking stuff!

The next thing I do is adding the essential oils. I add them one scent at a time until it smells right... unless I'm following a recipe that I trust. I usually make mine very strong therefore needing to use less of the finished product and making it last longer
If you are making the salts for a specific purpose it is good to visualize the energies you are wanting while you are working up your recipe.

When you are ready for your bath I generally try to visualize the energies I am wanting mixing with the water. I'll sink into the tub and visualize my body soaking up the energies and feeling them flowing through my whole being. {If I am banishing or trying to get rid of something negative I will visualize it seeping into the water and later being drained and returned to the Earth to be recycled.}
