King Kapisi Brings us his debut album with extraordinary essence.  Kapisi has his own culture and his own style.  He truely represents Samoan Hip-Hop to the fullest.  I was quite surprised how good the album was.  You also will be surprised.  Recently I've heard people who had never listened to Hip-Hop ever before, say that King Kapisi is Tha Bomb.  I wouldn't think something this good came out of New Zealand, I guess this shows Kiwi music is on the rise

Some cool tunes on this track are
Reverse Resistence, which is already become a major hit in New Zealand.  One of my personal favourites is the track U-Not-Red-I.  This track is about an emcee who thinks he's got it all but he isn't keeping it real.

Kapisi is serious about his culture and he displays his native Samoa to the rest of the world.  Check out the lines "Migration to Apia 2 Welli / 2 my sister in Kansas, 2 my peoples in Cali / ".

With DJ cuts by the world champion DJ Raw this album has it all.  The only thing I'd criticise is the unusual rhyme scheme which appears in many of his lyrics.  It is unconsistant.

Kapisi's album is full of hip-hop beats which mix in many different styles and beats.  Kapisi creates all his own beats and never used any samples.  Overall a pretty good album considering it came out of New Zealand.
