The long awaited return of Halo will be answered on November 9, 2004. Another game that is awaited is Mech Assault 2. Mech Assault 2 will be available to the public on November 1, 2004. The first of both exceeded expectations. The main problem with Halo was that it was not online. If you wanted to play with others you had to buy a special cable, but this was before Xbox live with its amazing multiplayer mode. The ability to set custom rules was also a nice touch. Mech Assault was just about perfect, it just needed more players on the multiplayer because you could only do 1 on 1. Hopefully this will be changed. On live there could have been 5 on 5 but instead its 4 on 4. Halo 2 will have a maximum of around 14 players in a match or round. Their will be 7 versions of the warthog as well as some new covenant vehicles. You may be able to chose a covenant as your character. The first (and some say greatest) Xbox Live game finally gets a sequel this year. Though details are virtually nonexistent, odds are you'll be piloting one of a wide variety of futuristic BattleMechs in furious multiplayer combat. One new Mech is the Raptor. You'll also be able to use body armor, vtols, and a battle tank. The game has improved graphics, more 'Mechs, new maps, new game styles, and no doubt scads of downloadable content, and it all adds up to a drool-worthy game to look forward to in November 2004. Charge up those PPCs, MechWarrior.
