When you are a kid, your mother is just your mother. The person that takes care of you and keeps you safe. You don�t really think about that she does have a life. She goes to work, and has other experiences other that caring for you. But you aren�t concerned with that. You don�t really know her as a person, just as your mother. As you grow older, your start to see that there is a life outside of you. She is her own person. As I have been aging and getting to know my mom better, I am finding out that she is one bad ass lady. She doesn�t take crap from anyone and isn�t afraid to stand up for what she thinks is right. When she is talking to me and tells me how she stood up to her boss, or something cool like that, I get a deeper appreciation for her and who she is.
She is a great mother. She is a great provider. She is a great person. I am thankful that I have such a great mom. No one else compares to her. She has guided me through my life and continues to influence me in many ways. There are some great things me and my mom has done together. Who can forget the bubble science fair project, making all those huge bubbles and varies things. And the giant snow iguana. Snow igloos and forts. Sailing at the cottage and capsizing while she was teaching me to sail. Making brownies and cooking other varies crazy things like the recent chocolate balloons. Once my mom sets her mind to something, you better watch out.

What can I say about a man who has all the answers? He knows way more that a person should know about something. If you ask him a simple question, you will probably end up with a Ph. D in that question. But that is what makes him so awesome. He is such a moral man. He has intelligence out the wazoo. He is the epidamy of the person that I want to become as I grow older.
He has been more to me than just a father. He has been a soccer coach , from Forest Ridge Soccer, to indoor soccer, to my select team, the Dayton Rapids. All through cub scouts, he was a leader in one way or the other, whether it was leader of the pack or of the den. He has always been a great role model for all people to look up to and try to model after him.
