| Nintendo is one of the oldest entertainment companies there are. Nintendo was started in 1889 as a playing card company. Most of the cards had flowers on them. In the mid-1900s, Nintendo received a license from Disney to produce character cards. In the late 70s, Nintendo finally made it to video games. The first Nintendo games were actually light-gun shooting galleries in an old Tokyo bowling alley. That game eventually became Duck Hunt for the NES and Famicom.
