EXPERIENCE:

  1. October 2007 – present: Site Inspector for S.C. Popp & Associates SRL all running projects
    1. Scope of work: design & consultancy for civil works subject to the Company design projects – of the most possible diversity & complexity (from small villas to the sky scratches of 25 levels);
    2. Responsibility: assuring the proper quality of the contractors works by their fully understanding and implementation of the design specification, especially for those of extensive complexity; systematic controls and regular meetings attendance; providing a good feedback from the Site Activities as well as from the Clients; elaboration, as necessary,  technical documentation.
  2. March 2006 – October 2007: Site Manager for Electromontaj Bucharest S.A., Abu Dhabi Branch; dealing as Competent Person on Transco installations of  220kV;
  3. 2005: Site Engineer of Electromontaj S.A. for the project of 400/220/110/10 kV Bucharest CET-Sud Substation rehabilitation.
    1. Responsibility: work safety as working under live high voltage bus-bar as well as supervision of the civil works.
  4. 2004: Branch Manager of Electromontaj Abu Dhabi Office, in charge as “Acting Project Manager” four more than four running projects in different stages, from Letter of Award, Taking Over Certificate, to Final Acceptance Certificate:

a.       Contract N 2040 – new 220 OHL in Gayathy area, respectively designing stage (ADWEA as Client and Sweed Power as Engineer);

b.      Contract N 0111 – dismantling of 132 kV OHL Um Al Nar-Nadja (Nexans as Main Contractor, Lahmeyer International as Engineer);

c.       Contract N-99-0172 – new 220 kV OHL Al Ain area (ADWEA as Client, Mott Mc Donald as Engineer);

d.      Contract G-1109/02 – insulation replacement of 220 and 400 kV OHL (Transco Abu Dhabi as Client, PB Power as Engineer).

  1. November 2003 – March 2004: site manager on contract G-1109/02, Transco,  UAE Abu Dhabi (220kV OHL Shahama-Wathba, Wathba-Kazna, Wathba-Ramah, Kazna-Al Ain; 220kV OHL Shahama-Dahma, Shahama-Taweela, Taweela-Al Ain)
    1. Scope of work: insulation replacement;
    2. Responsibility: program of work, supervision of the work, handling the Safety Documents by dealing as Competent Person on Transco installations of up to 220kV, handing over the work, engineering – all necessary drawings, material’s consumption flow, correspondence etc AutoCAD, MSOffice, MS Projects.
  2. January – March 2003: site engineer on the contract No. 18/1998 NEPCO, Jordan (110kV OHL Al Rehab-Al Ramtha)
    1. Scope of work: stringing conductor with puller and breaker method;
    2. Responsibility: supervision of the work, stringing plan, coordination with the Client;
  3. November 2001 – January 2003: site engineer on the contract N-99-0172 ADWEA, UAE Abu Dhabi-Al Ain (220 kV OHL “Al Zakher-Al Era’ad-Al Wagon”, “Sanaiya-Maziyad”, “Al Dhama-Al Oha”)
    1. Scope of work: pile foundations of down to 12m depth and up to 1200mm dia., tower assembly, stringing conductor – bundles of 2 or 4 sub-conductors and with tension up to 12,000 daN/phase;
    2. Responsibility: direct supervision of the work, stringing plan, ordering of required concrete from batching plant, coordination with Client – ADWEA & Transco and the Engineer – Mott McDonald Ltd., handling the Safety Documents by dealing as Competent Person on Transco installations of  up to 220kV, handing over the work, engineering – all necessary drawings, material’s consumption flow, correspondence etc AutoCAD, MSOffice;
  4. January 1999 – November 2001: electrical engineer of S.C. Electromontaj S.A., “Design & Engineering” Department
    1. Scope of work: elaboration of Tenders and all the Documentation for the abroad running Contracts of the Company;
    2. Responsibility: elaboration of the a/m Documentation using AutoCAD, MSOffice, Photoshop, Corel, MS Visual Studio, Company-made software, Sure-Track etc
  5. April 1997 – November 1998: site engineer on the “Lot 9001-Phase IV” M.E.W., Qatar (132 OHL kV “Um Bab-Dukhan”, “Doha North-Ras Lafan”, “Ras Lafan-Al Khor” etc)
    1. Scope of work: foundations of type micro-piles and “pad and chimney”, lattice tower assembly and erection, handing over the work, engineering;
    2. Responsibility: direct supervision of the work, ordering of required concrete from batching plant, coordination with the Client – M.E.W. and the Engineer – Energoproject, handing over the job, handling Safety Documents, engineering – necessary drawings, material’s consumption flow, using AutoCAD, MSOffice;
  6. December 1995 – December 1996: site engineer on the contracts “YPL1” and “YPL3” P.E.C., A.R. of Yemen (OHL of 0.4, 11, 33 kV)
    1. Scope of work: erection of wooden poles for low and medium voltage, stringing twisted-conductor for low voltage, anchored foundations; covered a difficult wild area and with very abrupt slopes of the terrain;
    2. Responsibility: direct supervision of the work, coordination with the Client – P.E.C. and the Engineer – J.E.A., handing over the job, engineering – necessary scratch, and material’s consumption flow.
  7. 1995: electrical engineer of S.C. Electromontaj S.A., “Design & Engineering” Department
    1. Scope of work: Lattice Tower Design and elaboration of required Documentation;
    2. Responsibility: designing and elaboration of the a/m Documentation using Company-made software, AutoCAD, MSOffice.
  8. 1993, 1994: Electromontaj Bucharest, P.R.A.M. (commissioning division) – electrical engineer on different projects across Romanian Power Grid – RENEL, Romania (substations of 110kV Bucharest-Panduri, Bucharest-Nord, Bucharest-Glina, Substations of 400 kV Medgidia, Cernavoda etc)
    1. Scope of work: checking and handing over the a/m substations as part of the commissioning team;
    2. Responsibility: inspection, adjustment and fixing up the (analogical) automation, protection & hydraulic/pneumatic system as necessary, handing over the job.

13.  1986 – 1993: skilled electrician of Electromontaj Bucharest – erection of different Substations – 110 kV Bucharest-Panduri, Bucharest-Nord, Bucharest-Domnesti, Giurgiu etc. Laying out cables, establishing connections inside substation.
