As of December 18, after sixteen days in the NICU, our little Susanna Grace has come home!  To learn more about Susanna, go to her page.

Heather's surgery went very well!  The doctor was able to successfully remove the remaining placenta pieces without any problems.  So aside from a difficult recovery, it couldn't have gone better! Thank you all so very much for your prayers and thoughtful phone calls and e-mails during that time.  We really appreciate knowing that so many friends and family are in our balcony supporting us.
The Spring Semester has begun!  Heather will not be taking classes this semester.  Aaron is only going to school part-time so he can focus more on family this semester.  We were hoping for both of us not to be in school but because we live in school housing there is a minimum requirement of credits.  This semester Aaron will be taking two classes - New Testament Biblical Theology and Advanced Writing.  Both are fairly heavy courses with large term projects, lots of reading, and a couple of group presentations.  However, since it is only these two classes, Aaron should still be able to put more focus on family.  Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers this semester.
When Sarah was born, naturally things were pretty busy that week for Aaron, so he didn't have time to shave for a couple of days.  He then decided to not shave until Sarah came home - five days total.
Aaron continued with this new found tradition by not shaving until Susanna came home - sixteen days total!
When Susanna was admitted into the NICU, Heather was given an ID bracelet to match Heather to Susanna.  However, given that Susanna was in the NICU for sixteen days, that meant the bracelet went through sixteen showers and multiple fingertip to elbow scrubbings to get into the NICU.  Needless to say, by the time Susanna was to be discharged, all of the information on the bracelet had worn off.  Heather had to answer a series of questions and give two forms of ID before we were allowed to take Susanna home!!
