| My God, there is so much I could say about Joey and Jessica. Somehow I doubt even the internet is big enough to hold that much info, so I'll try and keep it short. I became a Daddy on April 21st, 1996. That's the day Joey was born. January 31st, 1998, Jessica blessed my world. From these dates on, my whole life has been totally up-hill! People tell me that I'm a good Daddy. I say, I have good kids who make being a Daddy lots of fun. Joey is almost 8 now. He is the sweetest boy I've ever met. Joey is very active. Always playing outside with his friends, kicking my butt on his P2, hanging out at the park with me and his sister, or kicking back in his club house reading a book. He is totally against being mean to anyone. He'll stand up to a bully, but won't hit him back. Animal rights seems to be a big issue with Joey (see the worm story for a great example). Jessica is my little Boo! When I found out that her mom was pregnant with a little girl, the first thing that crossed my mind was the day I get to walk her down the aisle (one of my biggest dreams). She and I even have the song picked out for the "father/daughter" dance when she does get married. Her and her brother are less than 2 years apart in age, so they pretty much have all of the same interests. The biggest difference between them would have to be Jessica's lack of fear when it comes to entertaining others. She loves to sing and is very good at it. She and I have even been known to do karaoke together from time to time. These two angels are my world! I am, without a doubt, the proudest Single Daddy in the world. They gave me the courage and ability to graduate college with a double major. When I have a bad day, they always know how to cheer me up. I'm pretty busy these days trying to find my "after-college" career, so free time is few and far between. When I get free time, though, it's all spent playing barbies and/or transformers, being Jessica's make-up dumby (hey, she's gotta learn somehow), helping Joey look for bugs, or wrestling a handicap match in the living room right before bed time (they usually win). Being a Daddy is like my super power...and in that, I have no weakness. Thanks kids. You've made me the man I am today! Thanks for taking the time to read this. As you can tell, I enjoy talking about my kids and could probably keep you busy for days with this subject. Feel free to bring it up with me anytime! |
