Have you published, written, drawn, or made anything that you might want to protect from being possibly stolen. One solution is to copyright protect your work, but that solution can be costly. Here are a few methods that I have come across.
1. Certified mail receipt requested
Mail the work to yourself using certified mail, and request a return reciept. Make sure the work is dated before you seal the package. Mail the item to yourself and DO NOT OPEN IT. This method will stand up in the court of law as long as the mail is not opened.
2. Writers Guild
Copyrighting any work ei. scripts and other theathrical work can be copyrighted with the Writer's GHuild which is still cheaper than actually applying for a copyright.
