| Brooke at about 6 years old. It was about this time that she was diagnosed with epilepsy after having a high fever resulting in convulstions. |

| Brooke at about 7 years old. Even though red was a great color for her, she never liked red when she got older....Purple was her favorite color. |
| 1978-79? |
| Brooke at about 7 years old. This was the only time she wore her hair short. She let it grow as a teenager and kept it long until she had to start chemotherapy for the breast cancer. |

| Brooke at about 8 years old. This was the year that her mother first had symptoms of kidney failure, and her father re-married. |
