| Poem by Sharon Robinson Who said Angels should look like a girl With long white robes and wings unfurled? For even the Bible tells of Angels of men Names of Michael and Gabriel, appearing back then. Angels take on various forms and faces They appear at different times and places. They protect us, guide us, bring us joy and love They are all around us and come from Above. We only look for Angels today On Christmas cards and Valentine display As statues in parks and cemeteries, Made of marble and stone, or in art galleries. An Angel could be the dog at your feet The child in your arms with smile so sweet The dove flying overhead in the sky The policeman or fireman just passing by. So take the time to look around and you may see An Angel beside you, it could even be me! |
