Catherine Heaney-Barrowcliffe
Catherine was born in Montreal in 1947.  She has one sister, and ten nieces and nephews.  She was married in 1975 to Ronald Barrowcliffe, and celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary on December 20, 2000.
Catherine is a McGill graduate with a B.Ed., and a Concordia graduate with B.A. majoring in English Literature.  She also has a Certificate in Elementary Mathematics and Teaching English as a Second Language.
Catherine is recently retired after 35 years in Education, teaching elementary levels.  She has spent three years working at the Minist�re de L`Education du Quebec in curriculum and pedagogy.
The teachers who were most influential and inspiring to Catherine are: Sister Pauline, from grade 3, and Rita Fernandez, from her high school English literature class.
Over the years, Catherine's interests included: singing in church choirs and choral groups, learning classical guitar, dancing, sewing, arts and crafts, skiing and skating, and travel.  Some of her more recent interests include: art and music appreciation, reading, calligraphy and volunteering in the West Island of Montreal community.
