Throughout time, men have faced dying
In order to protect our flag,
In order to preserve our freedom.
They are "our boys", our soldiers
And they left there mothers crying.
For the sacrifice they will never be forgotten.
When our country first fought for it's flag.
There was no time for crying
Because so many, friends and family, were dying.
But what rang true in the hearts of these men, these soldiers?
It was their passion, their hope for freedom.
For winning it for our country, they will never be forgotten.
Then as all the Jewish were dying,
It was for help, that the world was crying.
In they ran with our majestic flag
We sent our brave soldiers
To win the world it's deserved freedom.
For victory in WWII, they will never be forgotten.
Politicians said it was a fight for democracy, for freedom.
That innocents were dying,
So off when our weary soldiers.
Until the country turned there backs, crying.
So off we ran with our tattered flag
Hoping Vietnam would soon be forgotten.
They were ruled by a hated soldier,
but we fought not for our flag.
We fought for only and economy, not freedom.
Never caring about the innocent dying,
As our country had no tears for crying.
Freedom had long since been forgotten.
Now all over the world lies our once honored soldiers.
Under a guise of freedom.
No longer even bearing our symbol, our flag.
Even with valiant men and women dying.
They are still forgotten
And only the soldiers are crying.
Throughout time there has been crying for soldiers dying.
They have fought and died to protect our flag, because of an oath they took and
have not forgotten.
The greatest thing in life is not free, that freedom is worth their dying
