Personal statement:
I’m the consummate daydreamer. I was the girl in the back of the class with her head in the clouds, getting into trouble and not paying attention to her teacher. However, as I grew into an adult, and literally stumbled upon poetry and writing, I discovered that it was the perfect fit for me. I constantly create little scenes, and characters in my head and I realized (quite by accident) as a writer I was able to find a home for all those images and worlds. Therefore, I began writing them down and it’s allowed me to cleanse my soul and yet at the same time, escape into another world.
Don’t save your embrace!
When you give a kiss,
Or surrender a hug,
You flatten feeble sorrows
And bring about clearer tomorrows!
Untitled
science cannot explain a kiss
upon the lips so soft
science cannot explain the hair
so silky upon the breast 'tis fallen
science cannot explain the skin
in it's alabaster beauty
science cannot explain the moments
In time and space that stop for you
science cannot explain the nights
I share with one so magical and true...
Though love I do...
Passion
Flickering scattered remnants
Of passion
Suck me onto you
And my plea
Will consume your
Eons
Of hot screaming desire!
Scornfulness
I was floundering
Undeniably used
Thrown around
Gracelessly
Artlessly
By you.
