Dwell in Darkness

Stone like walls don’t make the prison.

It’s the bars of fear you taste.

Your cold eyes reflect your decision.

Our love has been long erased.

You hide from yourself.

You dwell in darkness.

I can still see you cry.

Don’t turn away from me,

I can help you try.

If you’re living by the dark night,

You can’t see what it is you fear.

Be aware where there is no more night,

Your dark danger is always near.

You must hold on to the truth.

Your fear can sometimes protect you.

You don’t have to provide me with proof,

What counts is what you do.

Silenced (Arturo & Caterina)

Here we are just as we said we would be.
No one would believe we'd float back to then.
Or what it would take to be eternally free.
Now it's time to raise the tides again.

In silenced waters you were mine.
No more games or restraints.
No fainter echo of love begrudging time.
Our call will never go faint.
You are mine, until the end of time,
the time, so strong over time.

We are like ghosts, gliding together.
One with the shadows inside burning fire following forever.
One made without the other would leave us freezing.
We are at the bottom of forever.

Sometimes, there's something I want, for the best of you.
I want you to be in another place.
Alive and glowing not hidden underneath these icy waters.
But I selfishly need your face.

Trapped in the shadows

I sit and wonder why I’m unhappy,

What have I been doing with my life?

Why didn’t I listen to the men, who taught peace?

It’s all that helps you in this life.

But no one listens

To a peacemaker

There all shut down, in cold blood

Or nailed to a cross and made to suffer

We all resist something new,

We all deny what is true.

I sit and wonder why

 Everyone is fighting

What has really been done?

To make amends?

Everyone stands and blows the whistle

Is faithfully listen to

But soon the protest ends

Who will listen?

 To the peacemaker?

Assassinations

 They were all shot down

Why do we turn strong men into victims?

Society won’t fight their rage

Because those some of those men

Rattled the cage

I stop and ask the world

Why am I crying?

Isn’t the answer plain to see?

I see that while you’ve all been fighting

You’ve forgotten that they spoke to us of harmony.

No one listened to the man of peace,

Assassination is easier than a change

We turn the strong into victims

Society is to blame

And all the men who rattled the cage.

Story Of Our Lives

How did we get so confused?
Our lives are a box, all closed up and locked.
We can't get out.
We claw at the walls
Try to fight off our madness
But we can't get out.

How can we ever reach our dreams?
When all we do when we sleep is have nightmares
How can we live out our promises to ourselves?
When we've forgotten what we set out to be.

How do we get out of here?
We can never see,
To dam clearly.
Why we are filled with doubt.
We scream and we cry,
Because we don't know why
Who we're supposed to be!

This is our last shrouded dream.
We still can't figure out why,
Why we try and try,
But there are no answers here.
We've got save ourselves
By our strength and stealth,
We'll fight out and face our fears!
