Jasmine

Storm of my mind (soul)

The insensible insanity rolls off my crimson lips, dead rose petals fall from my fingertips. It’s raining again.

Outside the window, life seems bleak,

inside this bedroom we do not speak.

Dust is blowing in my face again,

when did the sadness find its way in?

It’s pouring inside my room.

Step away from the doorway before you’re sucked out, a big black hole some can do without.

The thunder rolls on.

Deep down inside, I beg of you to stay, you quickly turn and push me away.

Your words will last forever,

as I drift into the never.

The end of us, of innocence lost,

my soul, your heart; that was the cost.

The lightning flashes in your eyes.

Do we ever really know what life is for? what is the blood of it, the core?

I tell you this as I let you go-

"do not let the teardrops flow."

Black drops of pain fall from my cheek, as not a single word do you speak.

The river of love flows from my eyes, you’re too far away now to hear my cries.

The storm breaks and is finally over,

while the insanity has just begun.
