Vanquishing Fears I dedicate this poem to my best Friends Yesterday is gone forever, the tomorrows are yet to come But memories of yesterday, forever clouds my thoughts Always thinking, wondering, where these fears came from Within my mind, soul, or other factors unknown to me Forever wishing, hoping for yesterday's fears to go away Locking up the anguish suffered, tossing away the key Wasn't the answer, to make my life more positive today For believe me, trust me, the ongoing fears still remained Continuing to plague my broken life on the days of tomorrow Until one day, I saw an answer within a little brown bottle Which made me hazy to forget, plus caused much more sorrow Of my everyday life already upside down and in a huge mess Adding more burdens to deal with, which I really didn't need At a time when I hadn't escaped all of my other sad fears That in time would disappear, when given some facts to read From an almighty good person who was there to help this soul Put the puzzle together, to find a way to make life better By exploring past fears and troubles, only a step at a time Allowing me to put all of my troubles in one simple letter To my dear friend, my angel, who listens to my problems Never accusing, always giving and listening with an open heart Filled with compassion and a caring, I can't find anywhere else To learn about forgiving, laughter and no longer feel hurt Nor unhappy when life doesn't follow my path without bumps Bumps now small, as my healing goes on, no more need to test The route, and travel the wrong way to escape my feelings Due to my dearest friends, who really helped me the best To get back on track, so I can live a more positive life According to Chinese Astrology The Year of the Horse represents free spirit, peace and tranquility |
